Badge of Care
Visitors should receive a visitor's badge as they enter the hospital. Our visitor's badge program helps us to ensure everyone's safety and allows us to meet the security requirements of the Federal Health Insurance and Portabiltiy Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Gifts for Patients
Visitors should check at the nurses' station before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients. Please check to see that your gift is appropriate.
Condition Reports
Any personal information about a diagnosis and treatment must come from the patient's doctor. This information is only available to members of the family who the patient designates. Information can be given per telephone with identification of the "password".
Overnight Visitation
A guest may not stay overnight with a patient in a semi-private room. If it is necessary for a guest to stay overnight with a patient, the patient is required to be in a private room. Immediate family of ICU patients will be permitted to rest in the ICU waiting room from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
