Neurosurgery Opportunity

Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is in the beginning stages of instituting a neurosurgery program within our hospital and community focused on neurological spine work.  A demonstrated need for this type of speciality exists within our service area.  A neurosurgery program has been absent from our region for a considerable period of time. Great opportunities exist to work side by side with our Interventional Radiologist and team of Interventional Cardiologists for carotid stent work. At this time, we are not focusing on establishing a trauma based neurosurgery center.  The call schedule will include a one in three schedule.  An excellent compensation package is available to qualified candidates, which is MGMA based and can include relocation, sign on incentives, and other attractive benefits. 

Requirements

  • MD or DOBC or BE
  • No J-1 Visa
  • H-1 Visa must be cap exempt

Poplar Bluff is a town of 18,000 residents, with 40,000 residents in Butler County. While the city of Poplar Bluff has a population of 18,000, the hospital provides care for patients in a 90-mile radius around the city, thereby serving a population of approximately 180,000.
