Clarity Medical Detoxification Behavioral HealthServices

Clarity is one of a select few hospital-based alcohol and drug detoxification centers in the area. Our healthcare professionals are trained to administer effective addiction treatment in a personal, compassionate and non-judgmental manner. We provide the highest level of comfort to help ease the transition back to a normal, chemical dependency-free life. At Clarity, you can withdraw from drugs or alcohol privately, painlessly and permanently.

Admittance to Clarity begins with a confidential and comprehensive screening and evaluation.  An individualized treatment plan will be formulated based on the patient’s health needs and type of substance dependency.  A patient’s length of stay is typically between three and five days.

Upon discharge, each patient is provided with a personalized wellness plan, which may include appointments with therapists, support group meetings and ongoing aftercare support. Patients also learn the signs and symptoms constituting a lapse, to aid in preventing a complete relapse.

Clarity’s Process

At Clarity, our treatment plans are different from many other programs.  The process is specifically suited for each patient, taking into consideration not only medical history, but personal issues as well.  Clarity is staffed 24 hours a day by a staff of licensed medical professionals.

Key elements of focus in Clarity’s process are:

  • Stabilization of the person's physical condition
  • Emergency and non-emergency medical services are provided
  • A safe withdrawal from alcohol and/or drug toxicity
  • Medical management of withdrawal symptoms by a physician
  • 24 hour nursing care in a licensed hospital
  • Crisis intervention
  • Referrals for ongoing care and support
  • A discharge plan and follow-up with a community based service

Clarity is an elective unit, with referrals accepted by physicians, agencies, family, friends or self-referral. Patients are admitted Mondays and Tuesdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Medicaid, Medicare and most insurance plans are accepted.  A self-pay option is available with payment due at the time of service.
