Inpatient Behavioral Health Facility Behavioral HealthServices

As one of the largest inpatient psychiatric facilities in Southeast Missouri, we work continuously toward our mission to provide the patient with brief but comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care in an effort to minimize the individual’s risk of danger to self or others. The length of stay will be individualized for the stabilization of each patient. The treating approach is intended to be holistic in nature addressing medical, emotional, psychological, and social needs. The unit is locked and closely supervised to assure the safety of each patient.  Our discharge planning helps patients determine an appropriate level of care that supports their continued treatment needs.

The program features specific services provided by a multidisciplinary team including a variety of treatment modalities:

  • Short term crisis stabilization
  • Individual, Group and Family Counseling and Education
  • Medical Screening/Physical Examination
  • Individualized treatment plan for each patient
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Milieu Therapy
  • Social Work Services
  • Medical Management
  • Consultations
  • Discharge Planning

Services are provided by Board Certified Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Licensed Psychiatric Social Workers, Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Mental Health Workers and Occupational and Activity Therapists. The multidisciplinary team collaborates with the patient (and family when appropriate) to establish focused, time limited treatment goals based in the individual needs of each patient.
