Select Menu
Patients on our Women's Health Center unit have the advantage to choose their daily meals from our 'Select Menu' items. We've made it as close to hotel room service as possible - when you're ready to order, pick up the phone and let our nutrition staff know what you'd like to order from the 'Select Menu'.
Lullaby Charms
At Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, we know that miracles are happening in our midst every day—especially in our maternity unit. So when you visit our hospital for whatever reason, you may hear lullaby music playing softly on our overhead intercom. That’s our quiet celebration of the birth of a new baby. Our hope is that the lullaby music will serve as a happy reminder that miracles are happening in our midst every day.
Child Safety Team
We go the extra mile to ensure every newborn is always safe. Each newborn receives an arm braclet with a sensor that will automatically alarm if a child is taken too close to the exit doors without hospital or parent permission. Each parent also receives a matching arm bracelet and must be able to recite the daily password in order for a nurse to leave the newborn in the patient room with a parent.
A certified child passenger safety technician is on staff at our Women’s Health Center and is specially trained in child passenger safety. Our technician is available to provide instruction and answer questions regarding proper car seat installation for newborns and older children.
