Cardiac Rehab
Cardiac Rehab is a progressive, multidisciplinary, 10-18 week program, generally conducted 2-3 times a week and designed especially for cardiac patients to maximize recovery and increase strength and stamina. It has been shown to lessen chances of recurrent episodes, reduce hospitalizations and improve the quality of life for many people who suffer from heart disease. Conditions appropriate for treatment include bypass surgery, heart attack, heart valve repair or replacement, PTCA, coronary stenting, heart or heart-lung transplant, and/or you have stable angina.
Pulmonary Rehab
An exercise based program that provides you with education and information about your disease and its treatment, the Pulmonary Rehab Program will help increase your strength and improve your breathing in a closely monitored situation. Programs are generally three days per week, for 12 weeks. Conditions that would qualify include COPD (emphysema) or lung patients having had (or preparing to have) lung volume reduction/transplant.
