The Danny Bell Radiation Oncology Center is equipped with today’s best technology, designed to adapt to tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) is a 3-dimensional technology that allows radiation oncologists to modulate the radiation dose around critical structures that previously limited treatments. Another advent is the use of Computed Tomography (CT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) fusion to further limit and direct radiation therapy. Innovative, less invasive prostate treatment includes brachytherapy, a procedure proven to be as effective as surgically removing the prostate.
